Colleen Lissamer
Colleen is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, specializing in Elementary Education and Fine Arts. She has taught for over 20 years in England and Canada, mainly in Independent Schools. Colleen is passionate about teaching reading and art to children.

Sr. Kerry Rowland, SC.
Sister Kerry was born in Victoria but has lived in many different areas including Halifax, Nova Scotia, Surrey, England and Boston Massachusetts. She has taught (as a Sister of Charity) for more than 25 years, mainly in multilingual, multicultural situations. She has a Masters Degree in teaching English as a Second Language. She enjoys teaching many subjects but French and Language Arts are particular favorites.

Ginny Lovick
Ginny received her education degree from UBC and worked as a special education teacher, a librarian and a grade 2 teacher in the public school system. She has been a teacher and administrator for 19 years at The Victoria School for Ideal Education. She is a trained instructor in the Transcendental Meditation Technique and has attended international seminars on Consciousness Based Education.


Trevor Gilbertson
Trevor is in the final year of his Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a focus on Physical Education. He is in his second year of teaching Phys. Ed. at VSIE and brings a wealth of experiences and enthusiasm to share with the students.

Miryam Huchet
Miryam has a Bachelor of Education degree, Waldorf teacher certification, and Waldorf Therapeutic Early Childhood Education certification. She has been a Waldorf Kindergarten teacher, cared for numerous children and adults with special needs, and taught children Aikido for many years.  Miryam is a 2nd degree black belt and teaches at Pacific Shizen Aikido. She loves children, being in nature, and creative endeavors.
